“Why the fuck would I be disappointed in you? You happy? Do you enjoy the lifestyle?” I asked. I already knew the answer when he smiled his big silly ass grin. Yep my brother may be annoying sometimes but he was all I had left.

“Yes, to all of them. I was worried you wouldn’t be happy that I was in a MC. That I left the marines.” I shook my head and shoved him in the chest. Of course, he didn’t move.

“Well you just made Sean’s whole trip. And I am happy for you. As long as your happy I am happy.” I beamed up at him. I saw the 1% patch on his cut. I watched enough Sons of Anarchy and read enough MC romance novels to know what it meant. I hated that he thought I would be disappointed in him. I don’t think I could, the only way I would be disappointed in him was if he abandoned a child of his.

“Turn around.” I told him. He smiled and turned. The back of the cut had an angel and a devil locked it what looked like a dance. The top rocker stated the clubs name and the bottom stated California. It was pretty awesome to look at, it made me want to touch it. But I refused to disrespect his cut like that.

“I like it, a lot. You know Grams would have loved it.” I smiled at him when he turned around.

“Never thought of it like that. Korey you sure as fuck changed.” He motioned to my whole being.

I nodded my head. “Sure, as hell did, Sean get back over here.” Sean meandered back to the back seat of the bug and got in. “Mama, I tir-ed.” I smiled at him. “I know baby, it’s okay we will be stopped soon.” He nodded his little head and closed his eyes.

“So, I got you a place to stay. Was the Prez’s old apartment.” The picture of an old grizzly man came to mind. Complete with a beer gut and long gray beard.

“Maverik I don’t want to put anyone out.”

“I know, but he was moving anyway. Got himself a house.” He nodded his head.

“Okay. Thank you.” I gave him a hug. One that said it’s been for long years since I hugged you. He pulled away. “Follow me.” He started the bike up and revved it a few times before pulling out of the drive. I followed right behind him. It took us a few minutes to get there. I saw two more bikes in front of the shop/apartment. The sign read Sinner’s Ink.

Shit I’ll be breaking the bank and robbing another before the year is over. I got out of the car and stretched before I turned around. When I did, I heard my brother yelling at one of the big guys that had the look going for him. He had messy hair that clearly stated I like to play the field. He was about as tall as my brother and built similar to him. “What the fuck man, she’s my sister.”

“Well fuck.” I mumbled. “You two stay in the car.” Sean nodded his head. I walked toward my brother. “Maverik really. Get over it.” I stated flatly, letting him know I was disappointed in his actions.

“You don’t know what the fuck he was saying about you.” His face was red from anger and I couldn’t help the smirk that graced my face.

“Well flatter me then.” He sighed and made the sign for choking me. I laughed at him and stuck out my tongue.

“Well he said, and I quote ‘I’d tap that’.” Maverik looked pleased at himself that he told on his friend, he was even pointing a finger at him. I shook my head and busted out laughing. His face was red as a fucking tomato, and he didn’t look happy that I was laughing. I tried to reel it in.

“Sorry, baby brother.” I cleared my throat and gave a serious look at the man he had pointed at. “Well, I may be flattered. But you aren’t my type.” The big behemoth of a man gawked at me like I had grown another head. He was cute but, he had that look that said ‘I hit and quit it.’ Not something I was interested in, even if I was looking and I wasn’t. I took the both of them in and looked to my right in took in the other behemoth of a man. He was taller than my brother maybe an inch or two. His arms were crossed over his chest and he had a stance that said ‘don’t fuck with me’ he had what looked like two day old stubble on his jaw, and it gave him an edge that I couldn’t put my finger on. His presence just deserved attention and respect. He had my attention that was for sure. I raked my eyes down to his chest. A chest that was massive and wide. His black tee-shirt was stretched tight across his wide shoulders. He was wearing a cut like my brother. His cut clearly stated he was the President of this club. He was not the President that I had pictured in my head. He was someone I could have seen myself fall over myself for ten years ago. But that time had come and gone. My kids come first, now and until they move out. Just thirteen more years and then I will look, maybe. I gave him a small smile.

“So, who owns the shop?” I questioned. The President spoke for the first time, and holy shit my pussy decided it didn’t want to wait anymore. His voice was gruff and deep. “I do. Why you looking to get inked for the first time baby doll?” He didn’t smile one bit, he scowled at me instead, like I was something to not be trusted. I didn’t like it one bit.

“Not my first rodeo Romeo. But yeah I am in the market for ink.” I crossed my arms across my chest. His eyes followed my stance. I looked down and saw that my little boobs decided to give me cleavage for the first time. Straightening my arms out and pulling my shirt up. Fucking boobs, I had wanted a bigger cup, but glad I didn’t try and get a boob job done. After having two kids I could only imagine what a C cup would like.

“Well, I open up at ten in the morning, come down and I can set you up an appointment.” He nodded towards the door and I noticed the help wanted sign. Maybe tomorrow I would ask if he needed help. I could sure use a job, but not wanting to pay high babysitting fees.

“Cool beans. See you in the morning then. Nice meeting y’all.” I called over my shoulder going back to the car. Sean was leaning out of the window. “Maaama, lok, two mor motors. I want one!” putting my hands on my hips “Buddy, you got thirteen more years, then you can have one.” He nodded his little head and threw his little fist in the air. Yep he was happy. Sometimes I was glad my kids were happy over the little things in life. Those were the best according to Grams.

“Ready to go inside and get some rest?” Sean looked at me and yawned. “Yep me too buddy.” I heard the approaching footsteps behind me. “Sadie, baby time to wake up. She opened her eyes.

“We there yet?” Her sleepy voice asked.

“Yeah, baby we’re here.” She got out of the car. Sean had already nodded off to sleep. Oh, to be young again. I picked him up and turned around. The President was standing behind me with my brother and the other man. “Sis, pop the trunk and we will get your things for you.”

“Thanks, that would be a huge help.” I tried to mask my yawn as I fumbled with the remote and opened the trunk. Waiting until the guys had all our stuff and followed them to the stairs. Sadie grabbed my hand; it was normal for her to do it. She was always a mama’s girl. Sean was a mama’s boy. Sometimes it made the past five years hard, but worth it.

Entering the apartment, I was shocked that there was already furniture, happy but shocked. The couch was leather and there was a big screen TV sitting on entertainment center. Not that we watched a lot of TV, but if I bought a few movies it would be a good background noise. I saw three doors at the end of the room. Probably a bathroom, and two rooms. The kitchen was small, but the stove looked capable of producing a good casserole and maybe some steaks. I didn’t bring any dishes with me, or pots and pans. Guess I will have to make a grocery run to the local Wal-Mart and remedy that soon.

“Thank you, I was going to wait until morning to bring it all up.” I smiled at the trio of men standing in the living room. They made the room feel small. “Get you some rest sis. I’ll see tomorrow sometime.” I waved them out the door and locked it. I found the keys on the counter by the sink. Smiling I carried Sean towards one of the doors and looked in and found two beds. One was blue and the other purple. I laid Sean down and tucked him in. I went and got Sadie off the couch and did the same with her. Satisfied I opened the next the door to find a small bathroom complete with a bathtub, toilet and small sink with a small mirror.

Going into the next room I was shocked. It was bigger than it looked. There was a king-sized bed I the middle of the room with a dresser with a mirror. I opened one of the doors to find a modest closet. The next door opened up to a large bathroom with a bathtub that could fit five people in it. “Score, so taking a bath tomorrow and reading a good book with a glass of wine.” Turning back to the bed I collapsed on top of the covers and sighed at how comfortable it was.

The light in the bedroom made me open my eyes. I tried to find the offending light so I could turn it off. I heard the unmistakable sound of bubble guppies being watched from somewhere in the apartment. I rolled over and saw a huge window, that opened up to a balcony. I rolled out of bed and opened the door to see the balcony already had a table with two chairs set up. It was cute to think that big man sat out here and enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning. Probably getting his cock sucked off in the night too. Thinking about it made my lady bits get wet. Nope Korey not going there. You don’t know the first thing about him. For all you know he has a wife and kids at home. He might be hot, but he is off limits. For crying out loud he was your brothers President. Going to find the offending noise I turned away. Going into the living room finding Sadie and Sean sitting on the couch. Glued to the TV like their little brains were connected. I sighed at the thought that I was letting my precious babies waste their little brain cells.

There was a knock at the door. Figuring it was Maverik or Blaze as his leather cut suggested. That was something I needed to ask him. Which one did I call him now? Pulling open the door, there was a pretty blonde. Much taller than I was. “Hiya, I’m Amy. Can I come in. I brought you guys a welcome package.”

“Um, I don’t mean to be rude, but do I know you?” She smiled really big and shook her head. “Sorry, I’m Stink Eye’s Ol’ Lady. He is in the Angel’s and Sinner’s MC. Blaze told us about you coming in and all, and I thought it would be nice to bring you somethings.”

I didn’t have any friends from my old home. I wouldn’t mind have a friend, Amy didn’t seem catty she seemed pretty down to earth and sweet. “Sure come in. sorry about that.” But I know from experience that looks can be very deceiving. Time would tell.

“Don’t worry about it, your new around here. No harm, no foul.” She smiled brightly as she stepped into the apartment.

“Sadie, Sean we have a visitor. This is Amy. She is your Uncle Mav’s friend. Come on get off the TV and come say hi.” They both jumped up from the couch. Sadie smiled brightly at Amy. “Your, really pretty, Ms. Amy.” Amy blushed “Thank you, and your beautiful. I love your hair. We could be twins.” Sadie’s brown eyes went wide. “Really. Maybe we could do each other’s hair.” A single tear slipped down Amy’s check. I wanted to ask her about it but knew better than to ask personal questions when first meeting someone. Just because I didn’t have any friends anymore didn’t mean that I had lost all of my manners.

“Wow, mama, she es, purty. Like reylly purty.” Sean’s eyes went wide and he gave his famous smile. All the older women loved his little smirk. I am pretty sure that is my brother’s doing. “You have your uncle’s smile little man.” Yep that right there proves it. Mav was working on Sean’s lady killing abilities when he was three. God knows what he will teach him being around him all the time now.

Sean puffed out his little chest “I es da man of da hose now.” Amy smiled and nodded she pulled some gift bags out of her oversized tote. “Sadie this is for you, Sean this is yours.”

“Amy you didn’t have to.” I started.

She smiled “I know, but I wanted to. Oh, and this is yours.” I accepted the gift bag. It had been a few years since I had received a gift from another adult. My gifts I got at Christmas were always homemade by Sadie and Sean. My ex didn’t do Christmas or birthdays well, not for me anyways. For his girlfriends he did. I growled to myself as I pushed the hurt aside. That is why I can’t think about a man right now. All they do is break hearts and make a woman feel less than. Not ready for that let down.

“Mama, Mama looky I gots a motor!” He yelled he pulled out a vest. “Mama, Mama look it say… Mama whut it say?”

“What does it say, let’s look at it. Oh, Sean this is really special, are you ready?” He nodded his head biting his lip. “It says Harley-Davidson. You have yourself a Harley-Davidson vest buddy. A true American motorcycle vest.” I turned to Amy and mouth Thank you.

Sadie pulled out a drawing tablet and drawing pencils and a harry potter book. “Oh, wow, Thank you Ms. Amy. I haven’t read this on yet. How did you know I like to draw?” Sadie asked Amy. Amy shrugged her shoulders and zipped her lips.

“Mama, whut you got?” Sean asked. “What did I get, well let’s see.” I pulled out a bottle of wine and a new wine glass. I wanted to cry. “Thank you, really thank you for all this.”

I pulled Amy into a hug. Grams always said that if you need to express your gratitude a hug would do the job.

  “Let’s be friends.” Amy said.

“I would like that, a lot.”

“I almost forgot I brought doughnuts.”

“You are the best of the best Amy.” I smiled at her. “Anybody know the time?” I asked.

“Um..” Amy pulled her phone out. “It says its nine in the morning.”

“Good, at least I have time to get ready.” Amy frowned.

“Where are you going?” she asked.

“Well not far. I got a date with Romeo.” I laughed at my little inside joke. “Sorry, I kind of nicknamed the President Romeo last night. I saw he needed help on the window. And I kind of need some ink therapy.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“Brick, you called Brick Romeo. Girl you got guts.” Amy laughed as she pulled out the box of sugary goodness. I snagged one and took a bite. The chocolate glaze gave my mouth an orgasm. “Oh, wow, this is awesome, and what do you mean I got guts?”

Amy laughed. “Brick is the President of the MC. He is not one to take shit from anyone. I mean anyone. Don’t get me wrong he is a good guy, a real good guy.”

I nodded for a second. “Let me guess as long as your on his good side.” Amy gave off another laugh.

“Yeah, that’s right. Well, I can watch Sadie and Sean. I mean it. If you land a job, I won’t mind one bit being your babysitter. Truly kids bring me joy, I can’t have kids.” The doughnut turned into sawdust in my mouth. I tried to swallow it down as fast as I could. “Amy I’m so sorry. What about adoption?”

She shook her head. “Nope, all the agencies. The agencies find out about the club and they turn us away.” What in the ever-living fuck. The club has nothing to do with, a man and woman loving a child. I would bet my left pinky that Amy and her Ol’ Man would make wonderful parents. Grams had always said I was a fixer, and right now I believed her, I wanted to fix this for Amy. Hell, I would be a surrogate mom for them, and I just met Amy. Maybe I could find one, yep I was going to research it tonight.

“Well, that is not fair. Not one bit at all. They need to look past stereotypes and look at the people as individuals.” I held my finger up and continued. “My Grams always said, if that happened there would be world peace in a matter of days.” My Grams was on to something. She knew people better than they knew themselves. I knew Grams would have already found a solution to the problem and would be on her way to fixing it. She would have adored Amy.

“Thank you, Korey. It means so much to have a friend in my corner.”

I shrugged my shoulders. “That’s what friends are for, right.” Amy nodded her head.

“One thing though.” She looked at me with a smile. “I will be quoting my Grams a lot. That woman may have been a pot head, but she knew her stuff.”

“You loved her a lot, it sounds like it.” Her smile was awesome. Her teeth were white and straight. Grams always said to notice the little things about people and tell them about their good qualities when they were sad or down.

I nodded. “Yeah, I do, she passed about nine years ago. But I try and remember everything she ta
ught me, I got a steel trap.” Tapping my temple. Amy laughed.

“Damn girl, you are going to keep me on my toes.”

“Yep, now time to get glammed out and wow Romeo into giving me a job.” I gave her a megawatt smile and grabbed my suitcase. “Sadie, Sean I’m going to take a shower. You listen to Amy okay.” Both heads nodding, their mouths full of sugar from the orgasm inducing doughnuts.

After deciding to wear some shorts and a tank top, because well it is hot as balls outside. Texas heat is one thing, but this is completely different type of heat. It has my body all out of sorts. I have never had boob sweat issues but today, boom there it is. Checking my phone said I had a few minutes before he opened up shop.

“Mama, whatcha going to get?” Sadie asked.

“Well I was thinking a lioness and two cubs, or maybe a tiger and two cubs.”

“You should get the tiger; they are super pretty. Why would you get the tigers?”

“Well, noisy butt, the big tiger would be me, and the two cubs would be you and Sean.” Sadie nodded her head for a second, her eyes got big. Oh boy that was her I have an idea look.

“Mom, can you mike mine a little bigger, and can mine be rainbow colored?” I tapped my chin, looked over at Amy and smiled and winked. “Yeah, I think I can do that. Sean you have a color you like most?”

Sean jumped up and down. “Back, back mommy.”

“Black, I can do that. Okay now that my tattoo ideas are done, I will be back in a little bit. Remember listen to Amy okay.”

“Yes, ma’am.” They both said. Amy shooed me out of the apartment with a smile on her face.

Getting to the shop entrance the help wanted sign was still up. I pulled the door and stopped short. It reminded me of the tattoo shop that Grams took me too when I was seventeen. It was old school for sure, but the lighting was better. I took in the similarities to the tattoo shop in Katy, Texas. Not to far from where we were living.
